Jeremiah 2:7 – I brought you into a fertile land to eat its fruit and rich produce. But you came and defiled my land and made my inheritance detestable. (NIV)
Revelation 11:18 – The nations were angry; and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your saints and those who reverence your name, both small and great — and for destroying those who destroy the earth.
Listening to others provides discernment into their lives including their passions, areas of pain and desires of their hearts. When we truly listen to others it becomes clearer what they believe and why. Research has shown that verbal communication conveys information while nonverbal body language conveys attitudes, emotions and even statements. (Heb 5:14 ESV) “ But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.”
Discern the truth by studying the persons true motivations and desires so you can perceive the direction of their hearts. Jesus (Yeshua) tells us in Matthew 15:18″But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them.” WOW! Psalm 5:9″Not a word from their mouth can be trusted; their heart is filled with malice. Their throat is an open grave; with their tongues they tell lies.” Psalm 17:3 “Though you probe my heart, though you examine me at night and test me, you will find that I have planned no evil; my mouth has not transgressed.” Proverbs 16:23″The hearts of the wise make their mouths prudent, and their lips promote instruction.” So how should we be? Psalm 19:14 “May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.”

(Rom 12:2 ESV) Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
(Eph 5:10 ESV) and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord.
(Isa 27:11 ESV) When its boughs are dry, they are broken; women come and make a fire of them. For this is a people without discernment; therefore he who made them will not have compassion on them; he who formed them will show them no favor.
(Isa 29:14 ESV) therefore, behold, I will again do wonderful things with this people, with wonder upon wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the discernment of their discerning men shall be hidden.”
(Isa 44:19 ESV) No one considers, nor is there knowledge or discernment to say, “Half of it I burned in the fire; I also baked bread on its coals; I roasted meat and have eaten. And shall I make the rest of it an abomination? Shall I fall down before a block of wood?”

(Heb 5:14 ESV) But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.
Listening can be effected by your current pain preventing you from hearing the word spoken in truth. It may not be what you want to hear where you are at this time in life but it may will be what you need to understand in your situation. A broken heart caused by angry words, deceitfulness, fears and past hurts can cause us to shut off the truth because it cuts like a knife. Many of us tune out wisdom and godly counsel when our hurting is so great that we cannot “handle” any more rejection or perceived negativity. However, it is often our own rebellion, sin and pride that prevents us from doing the right thing to resolve the situation, even when we know inside that it is what we need to do. Our hearts become dull and cold toward our spouse, job, friends, family or others simply because we don’t deal with the issue at hand. We try to push it down and hope it will go away on it’s own. The sad thing is, instead of shrinking the problem this tends to escalate it to new levels. One of the wisest men in history was Daniel, a righteous man before God who did great things in the name of the Lord. Even he would go through tests, trials and tribulations that rocked his very world. Daniel 12:8 “I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, “My lord, what will the outcome of all this be?”
The bible tells us that because we allow our hearts to harden, we do not hear the message of truth to Love God and then to love others with compassion, grace and mercy as God has loved you. Ephesians 4:18″They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.” Matthew 13:15 “For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’” Mark 12:33 “To love GOD with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
Healing comes from hearing the words of truth. Jesus came so that we could have abundant life and to set the captives free from the bandages of sin and death. Once we realize that God has us for all eternity, the thought of this moment in time compared to a billion, trillion years is really nothing. We need to not focus on ourselves and our situations but instead keep eternity in perspective and live a life with a purpose for all times. SO what if they drink the last drop of juice and you wanted it right now. Release it, do not give place to bitterness, anger or discontent. Instead praise and worship God for all the good things He has done. Life gets easier when you focus on the right things.
Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
IT IS OUR PRAYER THAT YOUR HEART BE STILL AND KNOW THE LORD…

Exodus 3:14 “And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”
Jesus (Yeshua) saidin the New Testament many times that He and God are One. That He came to do the Father’s business and He spoke unto the orthodox Jewish faith calling Himself, the I AM. This type of speech was considered blasphemes among the Pharisees and one of the real reasons they wanted to crucify Him. Now understand this, the Pharisees knew the bible better than most of us today, including me. They practiced the law and lived a holier life than we can even imagine, yet they did not recognize the Messiah. Why did they become so upset at Jesus for saying “I AM…” Listen to what Jesus said in His own words from the Book of John that spoke of His divinity with God the Father.
“I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me shall not hunger.” John 6:35
“I am the light of the world; he who fallows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life.” John 8:12
“I am the gate; if anyone enters through Me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” John 10:9
“I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for His sheep.” John 10:11
“I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies.” John 11:25
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.” John 14:6
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.” John 15:1
The real key is what did the Holy Spirit reveal to others about who Jesus is. Matthew 16:15″Jesus said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
These are not the words of a coward who wanted to get along with everybody and not rock the boat. Jesus was slapping the religious hypocrites right in their face publicly. Jesus more than once called the Pharisees and religous leaders hypocrites and lets look at these to understand why these false teachers were upsetting to God. Matthew 23:13 “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.”
OUTWARD APPEARANCE OF WORKS
“Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward” Matthew 6:5 “And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.” Matthew 6:16 ““Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.“
Today, many churches and denominations have lost touch with the true Messiah and have created a church that wants the sensual blessings of God. These churches teach false doctrines of prosperity, faith without works and you are owed by God because of your rightful inheritance helps fill the seats of the sanctuary.
However, like the Pharisee and religious leaders of old, they have removed the true HOLINESS and power of God from their sermons. Their pride has them believing they know more than others and instead of hearing Jesus say, “I AM… these false teachers are stating “I AM the spokesperson for God….” They sprinkling their messages with hope and love of all mankind without any regards to the effects of sin and repentance unto salvation. GOD IS HOLY. JESUS CAME BECAUSE A SACRIFICE WAS NEEDED TO RESTORE AN UNHOLY MAN TO A HOLY GOD.
As believers, we are to grow in maturity that imitates Jesus and become righteous through obedience. This is why Abraham’s obedience was counted unto righteousness. Jesus even said in Matthew 5:20 “For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.” James 2:20″But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?
-IN OTHER WORDS JESUS DECLARED WHAT GOD SAID “TELL THEM I AM HAS SENT ME TO YOU!
Only through true repentance and believing in faith in the Son of God (Yeshua/Jesus) can you be saved.
I AM! Think about this statement of the name of God given to Moses and spoken by Christ. I AM, this is a statement of true power, that there is no other God before Him. I AM everywhere and created everything. I AM all knowing and there is nothing that can escape His understanding. I AM is an ever present God at each moment forever and ever.
